The morning after the Eagles won the Super Bowl, the Lions have been installed as one of the favorites to win it all next year. They generally have the fifth best odds, behind the Ravens, Bills, Chiefs and Eagles -- who are favored to repeat.
Terrion Arnold likes the Lions' chances: "We'll be there next year," he said before Sunday's game.
In a video he posted on Instagram, Arnold said he woke up Sunday morning to a text from "my dawg talking about, 'I'm supposed to be texting you, telling you, man, let's go get that ring. But instead I'm telling you, next year.'"
"Supposed to be playing today, man," Arnold said with a shake of the head. "Aye, everything happens for a reason, though, you know? We'll be there next year."
The Lions came up three wins short in Arnold's first season in Detroit. It didn't shake his belief in himself or the team.
He said the day after their divisional round loss to the Commanders that "I'll be the best corner in the league pretty soon" and "my message is not, 'We gotta be back. But, we will be back.'"
