We don't know who will be the next general manager of the Lions.
We do know who it won't be: Tony Dungy.
A Michigan native and a Hall of Fame coach, Dungy has become a popular name locally as the Lions begin their search for a new regime. His track record as a head coach speaks for itself.
But Dungy says he's not the man for the job.
Responding to a Twitter user who asked Dungy to become Detroit's GM, the 65-year-old said on Sunday, "I hope the Lions find the right person for the job but I don't think it's me."
Dungy, who's been an analyst for NBC Sports on Sunday Night Football since 2009, is currently serving as an advisor for the Texans in their search for a new general manager and head coach.
The Lions began their GM interviews on Friday with three in-house candidates.
