In the opening spreads for the 2022 season at BetOnline.ag, the Lions are underdogs in 14 of their first 15 games. Spreads aren't yet set for the final two weeks of the schedule.
The Lions open the season as four-point dogs at home against the Eagles. They're also nine-point home dogs on Thanksgiving against the Bills and eight-point home dogs against the Packers in Week 9. Their most lopsided spreads are at the Patriots (-9.5) in Week 5 and at the Cowboys (-10.5) in Week 7.
The one time the Lions are favorites?
Week 13 at home against the Jaguars (+2.5).
But buyer beware. The Lions went 10-7 against the spread last season, including one of the biggest upsets of the year in Week 15 when they shocked the Cardinals, who had opened as 13.5-point favorites.
