What's the bigger need for Lions: Defensive end or interior offensive line?

As free agency winds down and the Lions gear up for the draft, what's their most pressing need: defensive end or interior offensive lineman? While "the focus has been on the pass rush and improving the defense through the line of scrimmage," says Costa, "what about the offense?"

The Lions lost free agent guard Kevin Zeitler to the Titans, leaving Graham Glasgow and Christian Mahogany as the potential starters next to Frank Ragnow. Jansen says offensive line is now the bigger need, because "you don't have a backup to two guys that are older."

"Mahogany should be able to withstand a little more wear and tear than the other two, but if Frank goes down, the easy answer is, you move Glasgow to center -- but then who do you play at guard?"

Costa says defensive end remains the bigger need because "you're talking depth" on the O-line: "They need a starting defensive end right now. It can't be Marcus Davenport. ... If Aidan Hutchinson goes down, who do I have? We can do the game about backups, I'm trying to fill out my starting 22 right now."
