34-20 included, the biggest win for the Lions Thursday night may have been seeing Brian Branch return to the game.

It didn't look good when Branch twisted his ankle and had to be carted to the locker room in the third quarter. Fans feared the worst. They breathed a huge sigh of relief when Branch was back on the field to start the fourth.

And though the rookie defensive back had to come out of the game again after re-aggravating the injury, it sounds like Branch and the Lions dodged a bullet in the team's dominant win over the Packers.

Seen in the locker room after the game, Branch told NFL Network that X-rays came back negative, adding, “Nothing broken."

Dan Campbell said the Lions will know more about Branch's status Friday, but "obviously it’s good news that he was able to come back out there."

Branch, runner-up to Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez for NFL Rookie of the Month in September, had a team-high seven tackles and his fourth pass defended of the season Thursday night.
