Trajan Langdon and the Pistons are staying busy ahead of Thursday's 3 p.m. trade deadline.
In their latest move that hints at more, they acquired wing Josh Richardson from the Heat and guard Lindy Waters from the Warriors along with a second-round pick to help facilitate Wednesday night's blockbuster trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Warriors.
This came after the Pistons acquired wing KJ Martin and two second-round picks from the 76ers to help Philadelphia unload salary.
Adding Martin, Waters and Richardson at once would put the Pistons over the NBA's roster limit, so they will likely have to make another move before the deadline. That could involve moving picks and players to boost the roster down the stretch. The Pistons are seventh in the East and eyeing their first playoff berth in six years.
Richardson, 31, is a nine-year vet who hasn't played since November due to a heel injury. He's a career 36.3 percent shooter from three while averaging 11.5 points per game, but his numbers were down significantly in limited action this season. He's on an expiring contract worth $3 million.
Waters, 27, averaged 5.5 points and shot 33.1 percent from three in 38 games with the Warriors this season, his fourth in the NBA. He's also on an expiring contract worth $2.1 million.
