Malik Beasley expects Little Caesars Arena to be even more electric than Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the Pistons-Knicks series Thursday night.
"I'm excited to see it," he said Wednesday. "Back in the days of The Palace when they were in the playoffs, I'm ready to see those fans get into it and have that atmosphere, man."
Beasley just has one request of the fans: No "Ja-red Goff" chants, please. When a Pistons fan wrote Thursday morning on X, "I better not hear any Jared Goff chants tonight," Beasley responded, "Facts, Pistons territory with all respect."
With the series tied at 1 as it shifts to Detroit, Beasley said the Pistons are "definitely ready to shift it into the next gear."
"We know we have home-court advantage now, we want to take advantage of that. We have to be the bigger dogs and make sure we come out ready to play and throw the first punch," he said.
If the Pistons take care of business and win their first ever playoff game at LCA, the loudest chant Thursday night will be this: "Deeeeeeee-troit Basket-balllllll."
