It's becoming one of those seasons for the Pistons.
The club has suffered another injury to a key player, this time losing forward Marvin Bagley III for "an extended time" due to a right hand injury, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bagley, who also missed the first several weeks of the season due to a knee injury, has averaged 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds in 25 games (13 starts).
His absence will shine an even brighter light on rookie Jalen Duren, who's started the last 13 games next to center Isaiah Stewart. Duren has averaged 8.6 points and 11.4 boards over that stretch.
Bagley, 23, is in the first season of a three-year, $37.5 million contract with the Pistons after arriving via trade from Dallas at last season's deadline.
The Pistons, last in the NBA at 10-30, have also endured injuries to Stewart and rookie point guard Jaden Ivey and have lost star Cade Cunningham for the season due to a shin injury.
