Pistons sign Bogdanovic to two-year extension

It looks like Pistons GM Troy Weaver sees Bojan Bogdanovic playing a big role in the team's future.

A month after acquiring Bogdanovic via trade, the Pistons have signed him to a two-year, $39.1 million extension through the 2024-25 season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bogdanovic has given the Pistons a much-needed shooter since arriving from the Jazz. He's hitting over 50 percent of his threes this season and leads the team in scoring with 22.7 points per game. He's also second with 4.9 assists.

Extending Bogdanovic was part of Weaver's plan when he acquired him. The 33-year-old has one year left on his current deal at $19.5 million. His extension will kick in next season.

Bogdanovic celebrated his signing by scoring 21 points in the Pistons' win over the world champion Warriors Sunday night.
