LaVar Ball blasts 'raggedy as hell' Pistons for waiving LiAngelo

A month ago, LaVar Ball was praising the Pistons as a potential landing spot for his youngest son.

Now he's blasting them for cutting his middle son.

So it goes.

The Pistons waived LiAngelo Ball on Sunday, 11 days after signing him to a non-guaranteed contract for training camp. Ball did not appear in either of Detroit's first two preseason games.

LaVar weighed in Monday, in typically bombastic fashion.

"I definitely have thoughts on that," he said via Bleacher Report. "The people in Detroit are great. I love the fans, but the franchise over there is raggedy as hell. They don't know a good player. I was giving them a lottery pick for free! Has the skills to play and the notoriety to bring everybody to the game. How do you throw that out the window? They're gonna learn the hard way. My boys are gonna end up together playing somewhere. 'Gelo can shoot the lights out. That was raggedy what they did. But hey, they're gonna learn the hard way."

Ball's most recent professional experience came in the 2017-18 season in the Lithuanian Basketball League. He averaged 12.6 points and shot 41.5 percent from three over 12 games.

He had a brief stint last season with the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Pistons' GM Troy Weaver was the former VP of basketball operations.

We're guessing Weaver isn't too concerned with what LaVar has to say.
