Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart reportedly punched the Suns’ Drew Eubanks in the face before Wednesday’s game, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The incident happened in the tunnels of the Footprint Center ahead of the 9 p.m. ET tip, according to the report.

Charania reports sources said Stewart and Eubanks were “going chest-to-chest before a swing to Eubanks’ lip area connected.”

Police reportedly got involved to separate the two players, according to Charania. The NBA is expected to review footage of the incident.

“The attack on Drew Eubanks was unprovoked, and acts of violence such as this are unacceptable,” a Suns spokesperson said, according to The Athletic. “We unequivocally support Drew, and will continue to work with local law enforcement and the NBA.”

While Stewart was listed as out with an ankle injury, as was the case the past few games, Eubanks entered the game in the first quarter.

While it was not immediately clear what sparked Wednesday’s reported dust-up, Stewart and Eubanks were “extra aggressive with one another” and were exchanging words throughout the teams’ previous meeting in Detroit.

No love was lost on Valentine's Day, apparently.

Back in 2021 Stewart had to be restrained by multiple players and coaches on the court after taking an elbow from LeBron James. Both players were ultimately ejected from the game.
