'No-Win November': Pistons drop 16th straight, becoming 13th NBA team to go a calendar month without a win

We've all heard of "No-Shave November."

Well, the Pistons just completed "No-Win November."

Detroit lost 118-112 Thursday night at New York, dropping their 16th straight game and officially completing November without a single win, finishing the month at 0-15.

The Pistons are the 13th team in NBA history to go a calendar month without a win, according to SB Nation. The last team to do so was the 2015-16 Philadelphia 76ers, who also went all of November without a win at the height of the "Trust the Process" era.

The Sixers ultimately lost 18 straight before notching a win, only to lose 12 more in a row, starting the season an abysmal 1-30. Philly went on to finish the season 10-72.

While the result was the same as the last 15 on Thursday night, the Pistons were at least competitive. It was Detroit's first single-digit loss since losing by four to the defending champion Nuggets on Nov. 20. Detroit had lost its last three games by an average of 16.

Thursday's game at the Garden was tied at halftime and the Pistons held a two-point lead entering the fourth quarter.

Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 31 points, while Kylian Hayes had 23. New York's Jalen Brunson had a game-high 42 points.

The Pistons last won on Oct. 28 against the Bulls. They'll have a chance to break the streak Saturday night at home against the Cavaliers.
