Detroit Pistons release NFT collection celebrating franchise's historic past and future

DETROIT – Today, the Detroit Pistons released the franchise's inaugural collection of NFTs that celebrate legendary moments from Pistons history such as the 1989 and 1990 championship rings, the 2004 championship banner, artistically designed game tickets from famous Pistons matchups and much more. In total, 890 NFTs are being released across four series – Championship Rings, Championship Banners, Commemorative Tickets and Special Edition Series. In partnership with I Got It, 714 NFTs will be minted and allocated to packs, known as Collector Boxes, and each Collector Box will contain 3 NFTs for a price of $300 per Collector Box.

Upon purchase, owners of these unique digital assets will be eligible to receive exclusive in-person benefits to compliment the digital component of this collection. These benefits include a physical replica of a championship ring, meet and greet with Pistons players, VIP hospitality opportunities, exclusive Pistons legends access, and additional experiences throughout the 2021-22 NBA season and beyond.

"This collection of NFTs pays homage to the rich history of our organization in a unique and innovative way," said Mike Donnay, Vice President of Marketing Operations for the Detroit Pistons. "Additionally, adding an in-person element to the NFT experience will provide Pistons fans a way to engage with our organization today, while simultaneously celebrating our past successes."

The collection is available via auction starting Monday, June 26th at 10am ET at Pistons.com/NFT. The Collector Boxes will become available starting Tuesday, June 27th.
