Through one quarter Tuesday night, the Pistons appeared well on their way to a fourth win of the season.

Detroit exploded for 47 points in the first quarter, powered by 6-of-9 shooting from three-point range and 19-of-25 from the floor to lead by 18 at the end of the first.

But that’s about where the good news stops, as the Pistons found themselves behind 68-65 at halftime and struggled to re-discover the flow they had in the opening quarter.

Sacramento went on to beat Detroit 131-110, handing the Pistons their fifth straight loss. This latest losing skid comes after just one win over the Raptors on Dec. 30 snapped a record 28-game losing streak.

Bojan Bogdanovic put up 26 points on 4-of-7 three-point shooting, but it was Sacramento’s Damontas Sabonis and Keegan Murray who stole the show, finishing with 37 and 32, respectively. Murray was 5-for-9 from deep.

Detroit was without Cade Cunningham Tuesday night after suffering a knee injury last time out against Denver.

The Pistons turnaround Wednesday and host Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.
