As the NBA's 3 p.m. trade deadline nears, it appears Troy Weaver and the Pistons are making a play for Warriors center James Wiseman -- while the Warriors make a play for Pistons forward Saddiq Bey.
The two teams are "in conversations" about a trade revolving around Bey, per Yahoo! Sports, and the Pistons "hold an interest in" Wiseman, the former No. 2 pick.
The Warriors would surely have to include more than Wiseman in a deal for Bey. While he entered the NBA with tons of hype in 2020, Wiseman missed all of last season with a torn MCL and has averaged 6.9 points and 3.5 rebounds this season in 21 games off the Warriors' bench.
Weaver and the Pistons, who still view Bey as a core piece of their future, would likely be seeking a draft pick or another young player to sweeten the deal.
