No NBA team has made more changes this offseason than the Pistons. In the past week alone, new general manager Troy Weaver has torn down and rebuilt Detroit's roster.
The latest addition is Wayne Ellington, who agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Pistons on Tuesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
It's the second stop in Detroit for Ellington, who played 28 games for the Pistons in the 2018-19 season. He averaged 12.0 points and shot 37 percent from three, one of the best stints of his career.
The veteran wing spent last season with the Knicks, averaging 5.1 points and shooting 35 percent from three over 36 games.
In Detroit, he'll help fill the hole left behind by Luke Kennard, who was traded to the Clippers last week. He should also be a stabilizing presence on a young team.
The Pistons on Tuesday also waived center Dewayne Dedmon, who was acquired in a trade with the Hawks last week.
