Former Red Wing Todd Bertuzzi reportedly arrested in Michigan for DUI

Former NHL All-Star and ex-Red Wings forward Todd Beruzzi was arrested in Michigan over the weekend on the suspicion of drunk driving, according to TMZ.

Bertuzzi, who played in Detroit in 2007 then again from 2009-14 in the final five years of his career, was pulled over shortly after midnight Saturday morning in Auburn Hills after police received a report of a car swerving across the road.

When cops responded to the area, they saw Bertuzzi run a red light and stopped his car. While he declined a breathalyzer test, he showed 'obvious sings of impairment' during other field sobriety tests.

He was booked at Oakland County Jail in suspicion of DUI.

Bertuzzi played over 1,100 games in the NHL and scored over 300 goals. But he's most known for an incident in 2004 in which he sucker punched Avalanche forward Steve Moore and was hit with criminal charges.

Bertuzzi pled guilty to assault in a plea deal and later reached a confidential settlement with Moore after a civil lawsuit.
