We know Big Sean will perform at halftime of the Lions-Bears game on Thanksgiving. We don't know who will be playing quarterback for Detroit, but Dan Campbell hopes to reach a decision by Tuesday afternoon.

Campbell said Tuesday morning on the Stoney & Jansen Show that Jared Goff threw on Monday after missing last week's loss to the Browns due to a strained oblique and he'll throw more at Tuesday's practice. If Goff can't go Thursday, the Lions will go back to Tim Boyle.

"Both those guys are preparing, but I know (Goff) threw it pretty good yesterday and we’ll see what he looks like today," Campbell said.

Goff said Tuesday morning on the Karsch & Anderson Show that he's "feeling better," but he's "still not sure" if he'll be ready by Thursday.

"It’s my left oblique, so it’s the power source of the throwing motion," he said. "There’s a little bit of an issue there, but it's healing and almost back to good."

Later on Tuesday, Campbell said he's "leaning" toward Goff.

"I know how bad he wants to play and he’s played through a lot. I appreciate that about him. But I do want to make sure he’s definitely ready to go and I do think it’s trending that way," Campbell said.

Goff said he dealt with some "discomfort" last week after suffering the injury in Detroit's Week 10 tie to the Steelers and "just didn't feel like it could go" against the Browns.

"It sucks," he said. "It really sucks. It’s hard to be hurt. I’ve been fortunate, I've only missed one game in my career and this was the second one. It’s hard, man. It’s different. It's not something I’m used to and not something I ever want to get used to."

Anyone hoping the Lions' passing attack would benefit from the change at quarterback was disappointed. Boyle threw for just 77 yards on 23 attempts on a wet day in Cleveland, a week after Goff finished with 77 net yards on 25 attempts on a wet day in Pittsburgh.

Campbell expects Boyle to be better if he's back in there on Thursday. And back at Ford Field, Detroit's offense should be more aggressive as a whole.

"Look, I like Tim Boyle. A lot. I think he’s got a bright future," Campbell said. "He’s a little rusty, but I know this: he knew the game plan and communicated well. He’s sharp, now. He’s sharp. He just needs to play a little bit, that’s all."
