No, the Tigers season hasn’t gotten off to the start most fans were hoping to see. But at least there have been some things to get excited about in the last week or so.

That includes a four-game win streak earlier in the week, some solid pitching performances by the youngsters and a nice series finale on Sunday to avoid what would have been a prompt four-game skid to follow it.

That win was made possible in part by Daz Cameron’s home run robbery of Amed Rosario in the fifth inning.

With the Tigers leading the Guardians 3-2, Cameron scaled the right field wall to take away a go-ahead two-run homer from Rosario and then got the ball in quickly to double off Austin Hedges at first base.

Detroit went on to beat Cleveland 4-2. Cameron went 2-for-3 in the game, while rookie starter Alex Faedo had a strong outing with two earned runs, two strikeouts and six hits over 5 ⅓ innings.
