“He’s like a futuristic Big Ben,” the Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle told his team’s website.

The Rams open up their Super Bowl-defending season September 8 in prime time against Allen and the Bills.

“[He’s] A little bit more athletic [compared to Roethlisberger], can move a little bit better,” aid Donald. “But he’s a guy that ain’t gonna go down easy so you got to come with your big boy pads when you get to wrap him up.”

Allen was taken seventh overall by the Bills in the 2018 draft and has become one of the NFL’s premier young quarterbacks.

Allen led the Bills to their first AFC Championship Game since 1993 in 2020, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. They lost again to the Chiefs this past season in the Divisional Round.

Allen went 11-6 last season with 4,407 yards with 36 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, and a QB rating of 92.2.

Roethlisberger retired at the end of this past season after 18 seasons in the NFL.

The Steelers and Roethlisberger were beat by the Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last year.
