Being confident can benefit you in a lot of aspects of life. It didn't help Doug Karsch one bit when it came to the Lions making the seventh overall pick in the draft.
Karsch was so confident the Lions were going to trade down from No. 7 that he said he would "Shoot the Boot" if they didn't. That is, he would chug a beer out of a shoe.
Well, Detroit selected Oregon OT Penei Sewell at No. 7 and Karsch made good on his word during the 97.1 The Ticket Draft Party.
In fact, Karsch slammed the shoe with ease!
