Emily Mayfield, who's married to Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, really liked the sentiment of one fan's Instagram post after the Browns' ugly 13-10 victory over the Lions in Week 11. She appreciated that the fan had commended her husband on his toughness and dissuaded anyone from criticizing his gutsy performance, and who could blame her for that?
The problem, apparently, is that she didn't see the rest of the fan's post. The first two lines were complimentary of Mayfield... but the last line had nothing to do with the quarterback's play, instead ripping the rest of the team for the perceived lack of toughness that this fan saw.
She deleted the post, as Ruiter mentions above, and eventually addressed the whole situation. In a tweet on Monday evening, Emily said that she simply didn't see the last sentence, initially viewing the fan's story as what she thought was solely a laudatory comment about Baker.

She said something similar late on Sunday night, responding to the "angrybrownsfans" Twitter account that was supporting her and adding that she's "NEVER" hating on any of Mayfield's Browns teammates.

So, yeah. All this drama should be over, and it probably shouldn't have ever existed in the first place.
Now, it's time for the Browns to figure out whether or not Mayfield truly is the answer going forward this season, at least while he's continually dealing with injuries and health issues, and prove themselves as a true contender amid an up-and-down season.
