So apparently Sean Combs (Diddy) was going to play for the Steelers.
The superstar rapper/producer was accepting the Global Icon Award during MTV’s VMAs when he mentioned it.
He started off saying he was first a paper boy growing up, then when he got older, he was going to play for the Steelers.
“I was going to be an NFL football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers,” said Diddy following a loud cheer from the audience.
He says a broken bone ended his dream.
“The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t know this but I planned on being a football player and my leg got broke my last year,” added Diddy.
After that he says he got depressed and after he healed would go to clubs and dance.
That’s where he says he got noticed and was hired to be in music videos and his career in the business began.
If his initial dream came true, he wouldn’t likely been playing during the early to mid-1990s, maybe even with Ben Roethlisberger if he played long enough.
