Former UFC star Chuck Liddell arrested on domestic battery charge involving wife

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Former UFC star Chuck Liddell was arrested early Monday morning for a domestic violence incident involving his wife at their Los Angeles-area home, police said.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at the home, "regarding a family disturbance," according to a statement.

"Upon arrival deputies determined Chuck Liddell and his wife (Heidi Northcott) had been involved in a physical altercation," the sheriff's department said. "Mr. Liddell was arrested for domestic battery."

The couple of have two children together.

Officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau (SIB) responded to Liddell’s Hidden Hills home around midnight.

Online records showed the 51-year-old was booked into custody at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station just before 2 a.m. in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Liddell was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

His management team has yet to comment on the incident.
