You never know who you’re going to find on Super Bowl radio row, or what they’re going to talk about – so it was quite fortuitous that Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson joined CBS Sports Radio’s Maggie & Perloff Show on Tuesday.

The rookie wideout isn’t in the Super Bowl, of course, but seems to feel that if the Jets got a certain veteran quarterback, that’s a possibility next year.
Yes, of course, that means Aaron Rodgers, and when Andrew Perloff asked Wilson what he’d do if Rodgers called him up and asked about coming to New York, Wilson went into full fanboy mode.
“I’d probably have tears of joy come down,” Wilson smiled. “That’s one of the greatest of all-time and for him to even know my name or say he wanted to throw me the ball, I’d probably cry. That’s a GOAT.”
So what would Wilson say to try to recruit Rodgers and sway him away from someone like the Raiders, the team Rodgers himself said is the one fans seem to want him to join?
“I’d tell him about the influx of young talent. We have a better team than the Raiders – I don’t know who’s listening, but we have a better team than them,” Wilson said. “Go look at the rosters and how we played last year, and look at the analytics – you’ll see that we had every piece. So, you come in and we’re going to have a chance to do something special.”
Rodgers said earlier Tuesday on the Pat McAfee Show that he would take a few days on a retreat before making a decision on his NFL future, so we may know real soon how possible that is.
