PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — When Gritty calls upon his Gritizens, that’s when you know you’re in trouble.
The wacky Flyers mascot asked for help from “internet sleuths” Thursday morning after a Philadelphian’s handmade Christmas wreath was stolen from his front door.
Dan Jackson made the Gritty-themed wreath last week. The orange ring was adorned with twinkling lights, a Santa hat and giant googly eyes. Then — in a total Grinch move — it was taken from his front door.
Jackson tried to remake the wreath, this time with garland and zip ties, but it wasn't quite the same.

Well, word got ’round to Gritty himself, who shared a Liam Neeson-esque tweet:
“If you don’t return the wreath,
I will look for you,
I will find you,
And I will cake you.”
He added, “the case of the stolen Gritty wreath is in your hands now. Don’t let me down.”
Well, Philadelphia, don’t let him down.
