Ja Morant, Jordan Poole shake hands before Warriors-Grizzlies Game 4

SAN FRANCISCO — Ja Morant didn't suit up for Monday's Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Grizzlies and Warriors. The Memphis superstar was listed as doubtful but officially ruled out shortly before the tip off. You can hear Warriors all playoffs long on 95.7 The Game:

As he made his way to the bench before the game, Morant briefly shook hands with Warriors guard Jordan Poole, who then gave him a tap on the chest.

While Morant appeared to be upset with his postgame "broke the code" tweet he eventually deleted, at least they had an amicable greeting on Monday night.

The entire series has been marked by drama.

In Game 1, Draymond Green was issued a quick ejection after tugging down Brandon Clarke by the jersey. In Game 2, Dillon Brooks was ejected after a Flagrant 2 foul on Gary Payton II that resulted in a fractured elbow for GP2 and suspension for Brooks. Green also flipped off fans while going to the locker room after getting hit in the head by an elbow in that contest. In Game 3, Morant was injured in the fourth quarter after Poole tugged on his knee going for a steal.

Poole defended his actions in the postgame press conference, saying, "I don't even play like that, for real. That's not my type of game."

We're yet to hear anything from Morant, who was spotted hobbling around the team's shootaround earlier Monday. The Grizzlies went 20-5 without Morant in the regular season, but obviously they'd rather have him on the floor. The series moves to Memphis for Game 5 on Wednesday night.
