Sunday marked the Josh Allen Bowl between the Jaguars and the Bills, which meant that the two first-round picks who share the same name were going up against each other.
It also meant that there would be a high chance of Josh Allen-on-Josh Allen crime.
The first half of the game featured Jaguars pass rusher Josh Allen sacking Bills quarterback Josh Allen, but that was just the appetizer for what was to come.
In an unexpected tied game late in the third quarter, Bills' Josh Allen dropped back to pass when he began to feel pressure and tried to escape. In doing so, he made an off-balance throw to get rid of the ball, which was picked off by none other Jaguars' Josh Allen in what was a momentum-shifting play in the game.
Not only did Josh Allen pick off Josh Allen — the first time an NFL player intercepted a quarterback with the same exact name — but it set up a drive for the Jaguars to take a 9-6 lead in a game that the 1-6 Jaguars entered as double-digit underdogs.
Of course, Josh Allen intercepting Josh Allen would create a buzz on social media in normal circumstances.
But it didn't stop there. Jaguars' Josh Allen also recovered a fumble from the Bills' Josh Allen in the fourth quarter.
