In what should be no surprise, the Jets have been selected to be featured on this year's edition of HBO's Hard Knocks, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Gang Green was seen as the top candidate to be chosen, given the heightened expectations surrounding the team thanks to a crop of young talent that includes the Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year, and the addition of Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
The Commanders and Lions were among the short list of teams that were also eligible to be selected.
The Jets didn't express much interest or excitement in being selected, but according to reports, the team was bracing for that reality.
New York begins training camp on July 19, and the cameras will be rolling.
