Justin Tucker is as automatic is you can get as a kicker, even more so when he is inside the 40-yard line.

So, leave it to Joe Buck to jinx him.

In the second quarter of Tuesday’s game between the Ravens and Cowboys, Tucker lined up for a 36-yard field goal as Buck and his broadcast partner Troy Aikman began to talk about his streak of making 70 consecutive field goals inside 40 yards.

As Aikman finished his statement he chuckled a bit and said, “We’ll see if he keeps that streak alive here.”

Buck, feeling awfully confident in Tucker, dismissed the notion that the two of them could possibly jinx Tucker.

“There’s no announcer’s jinx. Come on,” Buck said.

Mere seconds later, Tucker pulled his kick just a little too far to the left and missed his first field goal from within 40 yards since 2016.

It was a shocking site to see Tucker miss a relatively easy kick, so, of course, fans were quick to jump all over Buck on Twitter about how yes, announcers really can put a jinx on players.

As if fans did not like Joe Buck already, now anytime he says something good about a team or player he will catch flak for it.
