Champ - The Detroit Pistons for their home run hire of former Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams. The deal is reportedly worth $72 million over six years, according to Shams Charania. At a reported $12 million a year, Williams would be the highest-paid coach in the league, ahead of Greg Popovich, who made $11.5 million in 2022-23.

Chump - The Detroit Tigers for being swept by the Chicago White Sox. “It sucks,” Lange said. “You hate blowing it for the boys. They fought hard all day. ... It’s tough, but you move on.”
