Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was forced to exit the team’s game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon after suffering a non-contact injury.
According to a report from ESPN, Cousins suffered a tear to his achilles. An MRI is scheduled to confirm the injury.
Cousins, who had strung together a two-touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter, appeared to suffer the injury, having to hop off the field before being taken to the team’s medical tent.
Shortly after an evaluation from team doctors, Cousins, who was still unable to put weight on his ankle, was ruled out for the remainder of the game and taken to the locker room.
The team has not yet commented on the injury.
