La Canfora still doesn't think Tomlin should go anywhere

If you think the Steelers and Mike Tomlin should part ways, one Audacy NFL Insider thinks you’re spoiled.

After a third embarrassing loss in a row Adam Crowley asked Jason La Canfora what it would take for the Steelers to fire Tomlin.

“Not every coach just has winning coach just has winning season. I know you guys… are in this cocoon where you’ve had three straight guys basically do nothing but that. That’s not the real world…Guys have losing season. It doesn’t trigger their automatic termination,” said La Canfora.

The Steelers had a quarterback going into his second season and made several offseason moves to make this team better.

La Canfora doesn’t know if the lack of success is on Tomlin and doesn’t think there were high expectations for the Steelers going into this season.

“I don’t think he’s going anywhere and I don’t think he should go anywhere,” said La Canfora talking about Tomlin.

La Canfora also pointed out the go-to for national media, Tomlin has never had a losing season.

But, when this season is over it’s looking like it will be three playoff wins in the past 14 years.

Looking at that, this isn’t just a one-year anomaly.

Over the past four seasons the Steelers were 8-8, 12-4 (after going 11-0), 9-7 and 9-8.

That isn’t going to lead to playoff success and it’s not just getting stale now, it’s been stale for over five years.
