(670 The Score) Like many fans in Chicago, former NFL star quarterback Michael Vick would like to see Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields showcase his running ability even more.

“Here’s where my dilemma has been with Justin,” Vick said on the Parkins & Spiegel Show on Thursday afternoon. “And what I’ve learned about him over the last four or five months is that he runs a 4.4 40, is very mobile. I would like to see him use them (legs) more. He did last week. It helped him. It helps your confidence. Moving the chains always helps your confidence. I want to see him use them more. I want to see him to continue to be mobile and exhaust all options as a quarterback.”

Fields has rushed 44 times for 243 yards and two touchdowns in eight games this season, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. He rushed 10 times for a career-high 103 yards in the Bears’ 33-22 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. That included a wild, weaving 22-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-1 in the fourth quarter, a highlight-reel play that caught Vick’s attention.

“You have a quarterback who’s a dual-threat,” said Vick, who has formed a relationship with Fields and communicates with him on a regular basis. “In time, he’ll come into his own. He’ll learn his capabilities, and he’ll learn how to play the game … and not thinking too much.

“It just comes through experience. I think that’s what y’all have in Chicago … The biggest thing that Justin can bring to the table over the next couple years is take a page out of (Lamar Jackson’s) playbook, out of (Kyler Murray’s) playbook and just move the chains. Grow as a passer and move the chains as a runner when you can.”

Vick is the NFL's all-time leading quarterback rusher, running for 6,109 yards in his 13-year career.
