Big Noon kickoff for throwback Michigan-Michigan State clash

It's been nearly 60 years since the last top-10 clash on the gridiron between Michigan and Michigan State.

That drought will likely come to an end Oct. 30 in East Lansing -- starting at noon.

The kickoff time for one of the most highly-anticipated games in the history of the rivalry was announced Monday.

Michigan (6-0) is No. 6 in the nation coming off a bye, with a home matchup this weekend against 3-3 Northwestern. Michigan State (6-0) is No. 9 coming off a road win over Indiana, with a bye before hosting the Wolverines.

The last top-10 matchup between the two teams was in 1964, a 17-10 win for Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The Spartans hold 3-1 edge when both teams are in the top 10 and a 10-7-1 edge when both teams are ranked.
