East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team will open the 2020-21 regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 25, hosting Eastern Michigan at the Breslin Center. The game with Eastern Michigan will be the first of seven non-conference dates for the Spartans this season.
All times and television for the non-conference games will be announced at a later date.
After hosting EMU on Nov. 25, Michigan State will remain at home, hosting Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov.
28.
The Spartans will play Duke in the Champions Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. As part of the move of this year's Champions Classic game to Durham, Michigan State will host Duke at the Breslin Center in a future contest. Details related to that game will be determined at a later date.
Following the game against the Blue Devils, MSU will return home for a pair of games, hosting Detroit on Friday, Dec. 4 and then Western Michigan on Sunday, Dec. 6. The games against Notre Dame and Western Michigan will be part of Michigan State's multi-team event (MTE) for this season.
Michigan State will play at Virginia on Wednesday, Dec. 9 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and close out the non-conference slate on Sunday, Dec. 13 against Oakland at the Breslin Center.
