Michigan State football players Luke Fulton and Charles Willekes have been suspended from the program indefinitely after they were arrested in September.
Fulton was charged with aggravated assault on Sept. 9 but later accepted a plea to misdemeanor assault and battery, according to MLive. The details of Willekes' arrest have not yet been made public.
Both players are redshirt freshman linebackers. Fulton was a three-star recruit in 2019, while Willekes, the younger brother of former team captain and All-American Kenny Willekes, joined the Spartans as a walk-on.
The incident in question occurred Sept. 8 when the Spartans were in their strength and conditioning program and still awaiting word from the Big Ten on whether there would be a season this fall.
Michigan State is now set to open the season Saturday against Rutgers.
