A popular Netflix documentary series that profiles small-time college sports programs is taking its game to the hardwood.

The latest season of 'Last Chance U,' which previously detailed the hopes and struggles of young football players, this time focuses on the men's basketball team at tiny East Los Angeles College, a junior college.

The show follows ELAC, which competes in the California Community College Athletic Association, through the virus-shortened 2019-20 season.

Netflix announced last year that the upcoming season, the show's sixth, would follow a basketball team after the first five all dealt with the gridiron.

A short trailer was released this week for the show, which is slated to debut on Netflix on March 10 -- conveniently just a couple weeks before the NCAA Tournament, scheduled to be held in Indianapolis this year.

"The Emmy-winning series you love is back with a whole new game," the title cards read.

ELAC coach John Mosley narrates the 40-second video.

"Basketball builds character?" he asks rhetorically. "Not necessarily. Basketball reveals.

"It's hard as hell here," he says, as the clip ends.

The series has earned praise for its unvarnished look at the young athletes vying to make the jump from mid-majors to more traditional powerhouse college programs.
