Hat company New Era is once again upsetting people on the internet because of their cap designs.

New Era’s “mixed font” hats are drawing the ire of some baseball lovers. The hat is a typical MLB team’s hat but with three to four different fonts spelling out the team’s name.

Reaction on twitter has been swift and brutal.

In May, the hat company reportedly pulled a line of caps entitled “Local Market.”

Those hats featured seven or eight different patches all around the hat, making it look like a scout’s merit badge.

But for all the shots being taken at New Era’s “Mixed Font” idea, many of the hats, including the Pirates one, are currently sold out according to the company’s website.

Maybe the internet just prefers simplicity.
