A new set of allegations has emerged in an ongoing Title IX lawsuit filed against LSU, including an additional accusation of rape against former Tigers running back Derrius Guice.
Three additional woman came forward in an updated court filing this week, according to a report from The Advocate. The lawsuit accuses the program of failing to address and properly investigate reports of sexual assault, domestic violence and other issues by players.
The latest allegation against Guice stems from a party, during which a woman said she was unconscious on a bed at a party she was hosting in 2016 when he entered the room and raped her, according to the report. She also reported that he bragged to friends about it afterward, and later learned she had contracted a sexually transmitted disease.
Guice, a Baton Rouge native, was drafted by the Washington Football Team in 2018. He was cut in 2020 after charges of domestic violence and is currently not on an active roster.
The updated lawsuit also includes an allegation of rape against another former player outside of a Tigerland bar, and another against an unnamed LSU professor. The player was not identified by name in the report, but it notes that he was a quarterback and transferred to another school on Jan. 6, 2020.
The initial lawsuit was filed in April by seven current and former students.
The lawsuit also accuses current LSU coach Ed Orgeron of failing to report the assault allegations to the school's Title IX Office or elsewhere.
