Jeff Gladney, a 2020 first-round draft pick from TCU has died at the age of 25.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Gladney was killed in a car accident on Monday morning in Dallas according to his agent, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. A woman who was traveling with Gladney was also killed.

Investigators say one vehicle was speeding and clipped the second vehicle from behind. The speeding vehicle lost control and hit the pier beam of the Woodall Rogers Freeway.

Gladney was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and started every game but one in his rookie year. He was released before the 2021 season following an assault charge and didn’t play at all last year, but he was found not guilty this offseason and then signed with the Cardinals.
