Obviously Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is known for his colorful language in press conferences, but he uses so many that no one would actually keep track of it right? Wrong.
Fan Early Morning Show host and Morning Show producer Matt Koll, has been at work in the lab all season long tabulating Tomlinisms to see what phrases the leader has used most this season.
And it’s a strong list with “Can’t say enough about” leading the way with 30 mentions followed by “Got a lot of respect” with 27.
Rounding out the top 5 are “Things of that nature” with 26 and on a 5-week streak, “Collective(ly)” at 24 mentions and “Global(ly)” at 16 and on a 2-week streak.

Other streaks continued this week as Tomlin prepares his team for their first playoff game since losing to Jacksonville in 2017.
“Singular(ly) focused” (15), “And so forth” (14), and “this, the journey” (13), are all on a 2-week streak.
With the current world we live in, Tomlin has also incorporated some new phrase amid the pandemic including “COVID/pandemic/uncertain/unusual environment” with 11 mentions.
Some of the phrases that started out strong at the beginning of the season have faded away from his vocabulary including “Meat on the bone” at 2 and “Nameless gray faces” also at two.
Hopefully we’ll be able to continue to add to this list deep into the playoffs.
