It must've been a wild ride for the Pirates this past week as they were on their way to play the Brewers.
The bus driver who was taking them from Chicago to Milwaukee was arrested for DUI during the trip.
Illinois State Police said the driver was traveling away from officers assigned to escort the bus Thursday night.
They say he was driving erratically and eventually just pulled over and stopped the bus on the shoulder of Interstate 94 in Chicago.
They say there were multiple, obvious signs of impairment.
The driver is not employed by the Pirates, but was a contract worker.
No one was hurt.
On the field, the Pirates have been swept the past two series against division foes, the Cubs and Brewers.
That’s six loses in a row for the third-place Pirates.
