Bradley Beal is being investigated by police in Florida after an alleged incident between the Washington Wizards guard and a fan following a game in Orlando, according to multiple media reports.

According to a police report, while walking to the visitors' locker room after Washington's 122-112 loss to the Magic at Amway Center, an unidentified fan said to Beal, "You made me lose $1,300, you f---."

Beal turned around and walked toward the direction of where the comment came from and, according to the police report, swatted the hat off the head of a friend of the fan who made the comment and in doing so, made contact with the left side of the person's head.

That person filed a complaint against Beal with the Orlando Police Department.

A police officer who viewed video footage of the incident noted the fan who filed the complaint and his friend got into an argument with Beal regarding who made the comment, and Beal “is heard on video saying this is his job, and he takes it seriously." And the man is heard on the video apologizing to Beal, implying he did not intend to offend him, according to the report.

"Probable cause exists to charge Beal with simple battery," the complaint stated, and charges will be filed with the state attorney's office. Charges had not been filed as of Tuesday morning.

“We are aware of the situation regarding Bradley Beal in Orlando but won’t have further comment until we’ve gathered more information,” the Wizards said in a statement, via The Athletic.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement: “We are aware of the report and in the process of gathering more information.”
