LOOK: Ravens' mascot carted off after injury during halftime of game vs. Commanders

File this under the things you definitely don't see every day list: Poe, the Ravens' mascot, was carted off the field at halftime of Saturday's Ravens-Commanders preseason finale due to an injured left leg.

Yes, the mascot.

Proving injuries can happen at any time, the Ravens had an exhibition game between area mascots and an AAU football team from Charm City at the half of Saturday's game, and after getting tackled while scrambling…well, quoth the Raven: I can stand nevermore.

Poe was the QB for the mascot team, and had a TD pass to the Orioles' mascot earlier in the game:

And, through the magic of…well, we know it's someone in a costume, but POE HAS RISEN and, a la Willis Reed, made it back to the field in the second half:

All joking aside, hopefully the individual that was inside the costume when the injury occurred ends up okay, as you never want to see anyone hurt doing their job, especially in a setting like this.
