And that's especially considering after hearing what this recently singled man in China did to spite other couples.
The Shanghai man's girlfriend had recently broken up with him and that is sad, but in order to get back at the concept of love, and to spite other couples looking for a night out on the town, he purchased every other seat in a movie theater on Valentine's Day so nobody could sit next to each other.
According to Business Insider, the man created a campaign around the act as a "joke," and he hoped couples would understand.
The man reportedly bragged in an online forum, "Want to see a movie on Valentine's Day? Sorry, you'll have to sit separately. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Give us singles a chance."
