The Cowboys wideout was fined $14,650 for his actions, a hefty fine for seats that were probably given to him for free. According to the leagues' guidelines, any player who is not fully vaccinated can still attend sporting events, but they can only do so while sitting in a luxury suite. Unvaxxed athletes must also wear a mask and can around no more than ten people.

Cooper attended the game with CeeDee Lamb, who himself is fully vaccinated. Prior to Coops' appearance at the Mavs-Warriors game, he, along with Trevon Diggs, attended the College Football Playoff Semifinal game on New Year's Eve, featuring their alma mater Alabama. Unlike Cooper, Diggs is fully vaccinated.

Only two days before his second appearance at American Airlines Center, Cooper attended another Mavs game, this time with rookie linebacker Micah Parsons. This would proved to be a bad decision as Parson wound up in the league’s COVID-19 protocols, forcing him to miss the Cowboys' season finale against the Eagles.

After wrapping up their regular-season campaign with a win, Cooper was asked what he and the rest of the team can do to be more careful with interactions.

"You don't want to get sick. This is the tournament. We train so hard in the offseason, OTAs, camp, to get to this point. We accomplished that goal thus far," Cooper said. "We're going to do everything we can do to not get sick. If that means isolation, then that's what that means. Hopefully we can isolate enough to not catch it."

Coop has already missed two games this season due to testing positive for COVID-19. First against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11 and the next game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12--both games resulted in losses for Dallas.
