It's not often Tom Brady let's loose, but one of those times is when he takes a trip to the Kentucky Derby with a number of his close friends from the game of football.
Rob Gronkowski has been on the trips, which came up Wednesday when he was asked on a Zoom call with Tampa Bay reporters what his favorite off-field moment with Brady is.
"I would just say going to a Kentucky Derby and seeing him take a shot and, like, just seeing his face after ... in disgust like, 'I'm putting this alcohol in my body?'" Gronkowski said. "Takes a shot and he's like, 'Ohhh, how am I gonna throw next week?!'"
What kind of shot?
"I think Fireball," he said.
As for Gronkowski potentially playing another year, he needs some time.
"It's just the start of the playoffs right now," he said. "There's always a time for that and I'd say it's about — the time to think about that is about after the season and then it's about four or five weeks after the season. That's the grace period for it, so as of right now I am really just focused on Washington, on the football team that we're playing."
Kickoff is set for Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
