The San Francisco 49ers have found their franchise quarterback.

Brock Purdy has passed every test he's faced since taking over as the Niners’ starting quarterback last season. He made perhaps his most emphatic statement today Sunday, guiding the offense in their 42-10 pummeling of the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Despite the sample size of his strong performance growing larger, Purdy still has had his share of doubters. But carving up one of the top defenses in the league, even if Dallas is without Trevon Diggs, was a sign that San Francisco is right to have handed him the keys to the offense.

Purdy finished the drubbing having completed 17 of his 24 passing attempts for 254 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Joe Shasky said Monday on The Morning Roast that if you aren’t on the Purdy bandwagon, it’s time to get on – because he’s the real deal.

“If he audibles at the line, it’s going to be a smart audible,” Shasky said. “If he throws the ball, he’s not throwing it into harm's way, he’s throwing it with perfect accuracy where only his guy can catch it and turn upfield or just get enough yards to keep the sticks moving. Oh, there’s a hold and it’s 3rd and 14? Let me rip one down the field for a big chunk.

“Whatever you try to take away, he goes to the next level. I don’t know what else we need to see – I’m exasperated by the people who don’t want to buy in. And here’s what I would say: I don’t care whether you were in from Day 1 or you just got in last night, hop aboard. The bandwagon is ready for you, Brock is the dude.”
