Usually when someone crosses paths with a snake, fear is the first thing on their mind. However, when that snake has smiley faces plastered on its skin, it’s hard not to smile back at it. A snake breeder was stunned recently when he spotted three perfect smiley faces on the skin of a python he recently created, and now people are wondering how to get one of their own.
Snake breeder Justin Kobylka had been working to create a bright golden yellow and white color combination on the skin of a lavender albino piebald ball python. While he was able to achieve the color, it was the pattern on the snake that had both Kobylka and the internet stunned. The snake accidentally ended up with three perfect smiley faces formed on its skin, which is something the snake breeder had never seen before.
“One in every 20 animals can have a smiley face on it," said Kobylka, who has been breeding snakes for 19 years. Luckily, the snake ended up being a big hit, and recently sold for around $6,000, according to CNN. Hopefully more smiley face snakes appear in the future.
